Content Authority is always exploring new ways to enhance it’s clients performances and in the background we have been testing alot of Ai processes and we found it was required to get API keys which sound confusing, this is just a data connection in simple terms.
If you are new to n8n and learning like most of us are right now. Then this might help you out as I had to learn the hard way.

Connecting Google Gemini GPT Model API for N8N How to:
Must have or pre requisites:
- Google Cloud account
- Google Cloud Platform project
Step 1. Create an API Key
- Go here to Google Ai Studio: https://aistudio.google.com/apikey
Step 2: Click Create API Key
You will see another box appear, something like this… providing you with two options…
Option A. You can choose from an existing API key from your Google Cloud or (Google Developer Account) previously known as.
If you have not done this before, then most likely all you need is to go with Option B if you just are starting out.
Option B. Create API Key in a new project
This will then show you a popup with your API key generated. Please note never share your API key with anyone. Hence, this is why our API key is blocked out. This should be a long random code of numbers and characters randomly generated with a copy button at the end.
Step 3. Add Credentials in n8n to your worker
Now this is where you will go back to your n8n account Ai Agent and go to your AI worker agent credentials and add your new Google Gemini API key and remember to click save in top right hand corner after adding your credentials.
Once saved, you can use these credentials with the Google Gemini and Google PaLM nodes in your n8n Ai Agent workflows.
